2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition SUV Tour | Mitsubishi Motors
Mitsubishi Motors has done it. They have delivered an SUV that’s perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. It’s called the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition. My name is Richard Herod III and I’m a brand ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors North America. Before we hit the trails, you should know that every single new Mitsubishi sold includes Mitsubishi Motors Confidence. This includes an industry-leading 10-year, 100,000 mi powertrain limited warranty, a 5year 60,000 mi new vehicle limited warranty, and 5 years unlimited mile roadside assistance. Couple this with 2 years, 30,000 mi of limited maintenance included, and it’s easy to see that not only is a new Mitsubishi an amazing value, it’s a smart choice for you and your family. The Mitsubishi Outlander has an impressive suite of safety features. First, let’s talk about the active safety features. These are the ones designed to help you avoid an accident. You get forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning with active blind spot assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, parking sensors both front and rear. These with your 360° camera give you great visibility in tight places. You also have anti-lock braking system and active stability control. And for 2025, Mitsubishi updated all of the exterior lighting on the Outlander to be LED. This includes your tail lights, your fog lights, your running lights, your headlights, and your automatic highbeams. All LED. Now, let’s talk about the passive safety systems on the Mitsubishi Outlander. First is the rise safety structure system. This refers to the frame and the crumple zones of the vehicle. It helps spread the energy throughout the frame, protecting those passengers inside. Now, speaking of protecting those passengers inside, we have 11 airbags in the Mitsubishi Outlander. But where are all these airbags? Well, we have the front and knee airbags for the driver and passenger. We also have side airbags and side curtain airbags for the front and rear seat. And then we have a center airbag that’s positioned between the driver and the passenger. You’re certainly well protected in a Mitsubishi Outlander. In addition to all the terrific active and passive safety features on the Mitsubishi Outlander, this trail edition comes standard with Mitsubishi My Pilot. Mitsubishi My Pilot is an advanced driver assistance system. It includes adaptive cruise control with stopand go assist, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and lane departure prevention. Now, here are the benefits of the Mitsubishi MyPilot system. It helps reduce stress and fatigue on long drives and in stopand go traffic. It also helps you maintain a safe following distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. It helps keep your Outlander centered within your driving lane and can adapt to different driving conditions and speed limits. Mitsubishi Connect provides both safeguard and remote services for your Outlander accessible through the My Mitsubishi Connect app downloaded to your smartphone for 5 years. You get complimentary access to safeguard services which includes automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance, and roadside assistance. Now, safeguard services don’t stop there. You get alarm notification, stolen vehicle tracking assistance, as well as a mileage tracker. Now, we can use the My Mitsubishi Connect app to access remote services complimentary for the first year. This includes remote climate control, which allows you to adjust the climate in your vehicle, and you don’t need to be within a certain distance of your car. I think that’s pretty cool, or hot, should you choose that. In addition, you can lock or unlock your vehicle from your smartphone. And you can make the horn honk or make your headlights flash, which can help you find your vehicle after the big game. Speaking of trying to find your vehicle, there is a carfinder setting. I found my vehicle once in the impound lot. Now, in vehicle settings, you have parental controls, which can help you with things like a curfew alert, geo fencing, and speed alerts. I guess there aren’t any more young kids getting away with anything. The Outlander Trail Edition is powered by a 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine. This engine has 181 horsepower and 181 foot-lbs of torque. What’s remarkable is that this power is available at 3600 RPM. And when this torque is available at such a low engine speed, it makes this super fun to drive, which means you’re going to have a smile on your face. In addition, that smile is going to stay because with 30 MPG highway rating, you’re going to have enough money left over to fuel whatever adventure is next. The Outlander Trail Edition features Mitsubishi Super All-Wheel Control, which is paired with active yaw control. This pairing creates a sophisticated all-wheel drive system that enhances traction, stability, and handling, especially in challenging conditions. And this is the first time the appearance of a Mitsubishi Outlander and the protection package matches the heritage and performance that the Super All-Wheel Control System provides. This legendary super all-wheel control system has six different drive modes. Eco for a focus on fuel economy. Normal, tarmac, gravel, snow, and mud. Additionally, use hill descent control for maximum control at low speeds while driving downhill. It’s important to note when it comes to style that the trail edition builds on the refresh Nitsubishi did for the 2025 model year Outlander. This included a new front and rear grill design, updated skid plates, smoked tail lights, and all LED exterior and interior lighting that I mentioned earlier. Now, these are the features and upgrades exclusive to the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition. Starting with 18-in black painted trail edition specific wheels. Available beefy 23560 R18 allseason tires. Outlander badged mud flaps. Black roof rails which look amazing with the available two-tone roof. Trail edition badging. Rear spoiler. Black dynamic shield. Black hood garnish. Mitsubishi Motors hood decal. Front and rear corner protectors. Side protector. Fender protector. black door handle trim and dark chrome window trim. I love the side decal with doorstripe and rear quarter mountains. And on the interior, exclusive Trail Edition all-weather floor mats and cargo protector. This is the best looking Outlander yet. Now, looking at the interior of the Trail Edition, it receives all of the updates Mitsubishi made to the 2025 Outlander. It features all LED interior lighting, new 12.3 inch display with embedded navigation, updated wireless smartphone charger, USBC sockets front and rear, heated front seats, and the power panoramic roof. Now, unlike other competitors in the class that have their outdoor editions, the Mitsubishi Outlander has a standard third row seat that folds up and folds down with ease with room for up to seven passengers or a bunch of your gear or maybe a little bit of both. The Outlander Trail Edition won’t stop you from picking your own adventure. When we get on the inside, these seats are awesome. These synthetic suede and leather seats are vegan friendly. Love that you have a very comfortable interior, even for larger passengers like myself. I love the standard power driver’s seat with power lumbar controls. I can literally see myself staring at the ocean or horizon in comfort. This Trail Edition does not disappoint with Yamaha sound system standard with eight speaker premium sound. Mitsubishi put extra attention to the design. It’s almost like each door is its own speaker cabinet. The Outlander Trail Edition helps you select your own adventure mode. With headlight washers, you can keep your headlights clean. Heated wiper blades help keep your wiper blades free of snow and ice in the winter. Heated door mirrors. Towing capacity 2,000 lb, which is great for a small boat, jet ski, snowmobile, or a four-wheeler. Use the roof rack and rails to expand your adventure. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, or a cargo carrier like you see here. LED lighting is standard in the cargo area. I think it’s a great touch. There’s also an easy to stow folding third row seat. Use the levers on the side of the cargo area to easily fold the second row seats to expand your cargo carrying capacity. Now, let’s not forget about that foot activated power tailgate to make loading and unloading your adventure a breeze. You also can change the height adjustment of your power tailgate by holding the lock button down for 5 seconds. Now, we’re on the inside of the Trail Edition, and I have to say, this is spectacular. I see quality. I see value. I see style. I see everything I come to expect from the inside of a Mitsubishi. Leather wrapped steering wheel. Amazing. Also, all LED interior lighting. You definitely feel like you’re in a much more expensive car. Now, looking up top, as part of your Mitsubishi Connect Safeguard services, you do have the SOS button, which allows you be to connected to the call center just with one touch. Underneath your rearview mirror, you have access for home link. There’s three buttons here that you can program to your garage door openers. I love this updated 12.3 in display with embedded navigation. This is vibrant. The colors are crisp and clear. Now, because the navigation is embedded into the vehicle, you won’t need to use the data from your cell phone plan in order to get directions wherever you’re going. On the left side, you have access to your home screen, directions, music, and you also have access to other apps and vehicle settings. Also, we have wireless smartphone connectivity that’s good on either major cell phone platform, which means whether you text with a Blue Bubble or a green bubble, this system has you covered. Now, an excellent pairing to your 8- speakeraker premium Yamaha sound system is going to be the Sirius XM 360L 3mon trial access subscription. You’re definitely going to enjoy your road trip. One of my favorite features of this vehicle is the camera system. And it’s not just the backup camera because this vehicle actually has four cameras. It has a front camera, a rear camera, and two side cameras. And it helps simulate a 360° view of wherever you’re going. This can be excellent for parallel parking. The front camera, when that is activated, I think is also great when you’re pulling into your garage or into a tight parking spot. It can just make sure that you don’t tap anything you don’t intend to. Now, let’s take a look further down here. We have our heated seat controls, dual climate controls, so you can pick two different temperatures. I think that’s great. The heated windshield wiper button. Again, you can thaw off all the wipers in the winter. Snow and ice, certainly no problem. They updated the new cell phone wireless charger, the new USBC connections, electronic parking brake, auto hold feature, and then the ability to access all six drive modes, and the hill descent control. I definitely enjoy that a lot. To the right of the steering wheel, we do have the push button start. Behind this leatherwrapped steering wheel, we have our paddle shifters. The benefit of having paddle shifters is that when you’re going down a hill, particularly on a extremely slippery surface like snow or ice, I like to use my paddle shifters to be in better control and using the vehicle to slow me down. Moving to the steering wheel. On the left side of the steering wheel, we have our volume controls for our music. And we can also change the song or the radio station. We can access our driver information center. On the right side, we have access for our smartphone capability. We can use this to activate voice activated services on our cell phone. Use this button to answer a phone call or hang up. Cruise control. To the right, this is the Mitsubishi my pilot assist button. And down here, this helps us with the laserg guided cruise control system where we can set the number of car lengths that we have between us and the driver in front of us. I can definitely see myself finding my own adventure in this trail edition. Well, there you have it. This is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition. It’s an amazing combination of value, performance, technology, and it’s all combined with Mitsubishi Motors confidence. I think you’ll agree this Outlander Trail Edition is the next adventure you find. This video is made possible by a paid partnership with Mitsubishi Motors North America.
