This 50 MPH 72 Volt Ebike is a Motorcycle FAST | HappyRun G100 PRO Electric Bike Review
This is sick, man. I’m overtaking a car here on a freaking ebike, dude. Bam. Oh my gosh. This is unlike any ebike that I’ve had thus far, guys. Dude, I feel like I’m riding a motorcycle. This is really nice, man. This is like an enjoyable ride. Check this out. I mean, I go from the street and then hell, I want to get up on here. We want to go walk uh go on the sidewalk. So, we can go from street to sidewalk for $25.99, baby. Oh, this is going to be a fun review. This is the fastest electric bike that I have reviewed on this channel. And this is not really an ebike. The only thing that makes this an ebike are the pedals. Otherwise, this is a motorcycle in every other way. and I’m getting ready to do a full in-depth review on this Happy Run G100 Pro 6000 watt 72 volt with a top speed of 50 m perph ebike that is really not an ebike. It’s a motorcycle with pedals. But that’s the beautiful thing about this. The great thing about this bike is that unlike a motorcycle, you don’t have to pay for insurance. You don’t have to get a license plate and pay yearly registration fees. You don’t obviously you don’t put gas in it. You can charge it via solar. I have a solar system on my van or you can use a solar generator. And also it’s extremely versatile because it has a 78 mile range and a top speed of 50 mph. You can keep up with traffic and you can commute on this bike. Also, they sell a aluminum top box that goes on utility rack and you can do local deliveries like Uber Eats and make some extra money without all the extra expense of a of a car. I’m getting ready to throw everything at this bike and we’ll see if it’s legit or not. I’m going to do a top speed run on the street to see how fast it can go and I’ll verify with GPS. I’m going to take it on the steepest road on the street. I’m going to take it off-road, see how it performs. is I’m going to take it up a steep hill off-road. We’ll see the ride quality, how great the suspension is, the braking power, uh see the maximum range you can get. Obviously, I don’t expect to get 78 mi because I’m going to throw everything at this bike in this video and we’ll see how fast it recharges from a dead battery. So, without further ado, let’s get started with its indepth review. Let’s go for a ride. Subscribe today. Before I get out here and do rigorous testing of this bike to see if it’s great or not, I want to briefly go over the specifications on this bike. Uh it does have a they say a top speed of 50 mph, which I will be testing via uh GPS in this video. Uh it has a 6000 watt rear hub motor. Uh, and they say you can get 78 mile range with this. And that’s achieved between both batteries. 72 volts and 33 amp hours between both of them. The top battery is 18 amp hours, the bottom battery is 15 amp hours. These batteries are removable. Uh, it does have an internal battery balancer on the bike, so you can use both batteries simultaneously, which is huge. A lot of ebikes don’t have that. A lot of them just have a switch where you have to switch or connect the wire between both batteries. So, that is absolutely awesome on this bike. Um, it does have a single speed pedal here as far as a pedal function. There’s no derailer. Really, they just put pedals on this bike to call it an ebike. Otherwise, it’s a motorcycle in every way. But that’s great because that keeps you from having to get insurance and paying for yearly registration. Uh, this bike has, by the way, between both batteries, I put this on the scale, weighs 159 lbs. Uh, removing the bottom battery, it weighed an 122 lb. So, if you want to take this off-road and want to lose some weight and you don’t need the range, just remove the bottom battery. And when you remove the bottom battery, you can also put some storage here in this uh basket here without the battery. And also, it has a 20×4 in spoked wheels with the 4-in thick allterrain fat tires there. So, you can take this off-road. By the way, this accommodates payload capacity of 400 lb and accommodates riders 5’3 to 6’5. uh does have a rear utility rack and they sell an aluminum top box here so you can put stuff in there, do uh Uber Eats delivery. Uh you know, whatever, man. Carry stuff to wherever you want to go, go grocery shopping or whatever. This bike has premium features like a hydraulic disc brakes. The front disc is 180 mm. The rear disc is 203 mm. Um, the suspension, they said that the front fork is adjustable, but I don’t see where you can adjust here on the top of the fork. Um, so I have to look into that further. The rear suspension is like the dual coil design here. They say that’s nonadjustable. It looks really stout though. I’m very curious to see how the ride quality is off-road and onroad. We’ll be seeing that in this video. This does have a half throttle integrated into the grip here. And to start this bike, it actually has a digital key. And you do that by starting the bike by turning the battery on, uh, hitting this power button, and then putting the digital key up to the dash, and it will start the bike. But it has, uh, five levels of pedal assist on here, uh, which is really nice. Or you could use a throttle. I’m curious to see if you can crank the throttle to 50 mph without having to do pedal assist. We’ll see in this video review. uh does have all the street legal lighting. It has a daytime running light like a motorcycle. It has a high beam uh on the headlight. It actually has turn signals in the front and rear. It has a brake light. It also has hazard turn signals there just like a motorcycle. It’s got everything that a motorcycle has. It even has a horn here, by the way. Nice loud horn. So, let’s get this bike out on the road and see how great it is or not. Top speed 50 mph. We’re going to test it in this video. See if this is worth it, man. I’m telling you right now, just sitting on this bike. Okay, it feels like a bobber. Honestly, it feels like a bobber. It feels like a motorcycle. This does not feel like a ebike in any way, shape, or form, guys. Um, the seat seat is pretty It’s firm, but it’s not bad. I’ll let you know at the end of this uh review how the seat feels, but it feels okay. It’s not overly soft or com. It It feels okay. The reach of the handlebars here is comfortable. You even got a battery that looks like a tank here. Have my phone with the GPS. We’re going to test see if we can get 50 mph on this. Now, this is throttle only. We’ll see top speed and throttle only. Right off the line, boy. Man, this thing goes bam. Oh my gosh. This is unlike any ebike that I’ve had thus far, guys. Rapid acceleration. See, we get 43, 44. Come on. We got 44, 45. We 46. All right, I got to slow down. Oh, man. 46 so far. And uh but I got some twisties here and it just I’m not used to this bike as far as the feel of it is um it feels like a motorcycle but yet it feels like a ebike in some ways but it’s so lightweight like a ebike though. But this thing is pretty sick man. The power is nice on this. $25.99, guys. Price 2,600. Suspension, it feels good. Look. Uh, it doesn’t have adjustable suspension from what I can see, but that rear shock, the two the dual coil rear shock is pretty good, man. Pretty good. And now we’re going to go ahead and go up this the steepest hill here probably in northeast Ohio. It’s extremely steep here. And I do all my testing on this hill. We’re going to see how fast it’ll go up it. See if it I’m sure it’ll do it cuz this thing is fast, man. We’re going to put it on pedal assist 5 or power, should I say, power level five. All right. Full throttle only. No pedal assist. Full throttle only. Power level five. And I said, “This thing moves quick off the line, man.” No problem, guys. Look at that. Bam. I slowed down there at the top with the turn. I’m not used to doing turns on this thing, man. Taking around the corner, but zero. That That’s the f I’m telling you guys, no ebike has gone up a hill that fast. Not this steep. This is just like a motorcycle, man. Test this off road here on some grass and dirt here and see how it performs. I’mma go at speed, too, man. All right, man. This thing pretty sick, bro. It’s taking offroad no problem, man. Suspension is all right. It’s good. It’s for me. 170 lbs, man. Look at this. Awesome, man. This thing is sick, bro. All right, now let’s go up this steep hill here. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Took that hill like nothing, bro. That’s the off the line performance here. See how that got on power level five. 3 2 1 boom. All right. Boom. Nice. It’s not a crazy like off the line like boom cuz uh which is good because this bike’s so light that you can uh loop a wheelie like I did on the other ebike I had. But it soon as you hit that little you know once it starts gets going boom it hits and it’s it’s gradual. It’s not it’s uh it’s it’s rapid but smooth. It’s not violent or scary or anything. Um I like that man. And I like that it keeps you from looping the wheel. You could probably wheelie this thing. I’m not going to try, man. I don’t want to beat it up too bad. Now, we’re going to go ride on a dirt trail and test it out. Yeah, it feels good, man. You I rode it on grass and dirt uh and rode it up a hill and it felt good. Suspension is is good. I mean, for the price you pay for this and uh I mean, you can’t beat it really. I You don’t need to adjust the suspension. Now, I only weigh 170 lbs. Um, and it’s adequate for me, man. Like, I’m sitting the whole time here. Uh, comfortable. Been riding with this seat for a long time. You know, it’s firm, but it’s it’s it’s fairly comfortable. It’s not uncomfortable at all. I thought it would be uncomfortable cuz it was kind of stiff at first, but yeah. Rides offroad here. Really nice, man. No problem. Oh my gosh, man. This This is a hell of a bang for your buck, guys, to be able to ride this thing anywhere. Like I said, the street you ride with traffic. If you you you feel like you don’t want to be bothered with stop lights and and and stop signs, you you get on the switch from street to the sidewalk and start act like you’re pedaling. Do a ghost pedal like I do. And uh and nobody will question you. They think it’s just a e a regular ebike, man. So, these fat tires, these I mean I I wouldn’t test these tires out in mud. You probably I don’t know. I wouldn’t I would not ride this bike in mud. I don’t know. You probably could. You put some knobbies, some some proper dual sport tire. The these tires are all terrain, but I wouldn’t rate them for for mud use at all. So, um this is really nice, man. This is like an enjoyable ride. Um obviously, you can’t you don’t want to be going too fast. you’re only doing 50 miles an hour on the off-road trail here. Could set you up for real effed up day. Um, you don’t need to go fast off-road. Um, and that’s a comfortable ride. Very enjoyable. I’m very surprised, guys. This is awesome. And what what’s awesome, too, here is that, you know, you go from off-road trail. Okay, mind you, I don’t have a a license plate. We’re going off-road trail to street and be able to crank it up here to the top speed. Boom. We’re riding with traffic. This is only a 30 mph speed limit here, guys. 30 mph here. So, I I I actually don’t want to go too fast. I want to crank it down to like probably three or four just to keep up with do the regular so I don’t get a ticket here. But then you get you don’t want to ride ride with traffic. You come over here to the bike lane. Bam. Pedal though because these bicyclists would be like, “Oh my gosh, motorcycles on the path.” But I’m pedaling, bro. Let me I got to crank it down. I don’t need to be going this fast on a uh here cuz we got pedestrians and stuff on here as well. Okay, so let’s crank it down to three. And what I like about the bike paths is it’s no, you don’t have no cars bothering you at all. no stop signs. Um, it’s got twisties here. The road conditions are clean. You don’t have potholes. It’s a beautiful ride through the woods here. Uh, this is absolutely awesome here. And then you want to give a heads up to let them know you’re coming through. All right, there you go. Here’s another one. That This is the problem though with riding on here is that uh you you got pedestrians. So you can’t you can’t be treating this like doing a Valentino Rossi ebike riding up in here, man. Doing cuz it’s got some nice twisties, but then you got these pedestrians here and there and bicyclist. So you don’t want to be going too fast. Bottom line on this uh bike trail path here. But this thing goes anywhere, guys. Like I said, do the ghost pedal even though it ain’t really doing nothing, man. Oh my gosh. This is so sick, dude. This is sick. And that torque, that electric powered torque. It It’s smooth. The throttle is smooth, man. But it’s like boom. It’s powerful, though. But it’s not It’s not crazy. But it’s fun, man. Oh my gosh. It is. It is. It’s beautiful. This bike This is a bike for everybody, man. This is a bike for everybody. Everybody. This is sick, man. Seriously, for those of you youngsters that can’t get a driver’s license yet and you need a a vehicle to commute to work and stuff like that and you don’t want to rely on your parents or something or or maybe you you lost your license or something like that, um this is it, man. This can do all your city street riding out here. Don’t can’t take it on the highway, though. And um this will get you to work, back to work. You can do your Uber Eats deliveries on this thing. It’s It can do a little bit of everything, man. You could go do your off-road dual sport riding with it. You can’t go too fast off-road anyhow, man. So, 50 mph, you won’t be doing 50 mph off-road. So, this is awesome on the trails. This is awesome on the street, on the sidewalk, on the bike path, any on the grass, anywhere you want to ride, man. and you run out of power, it has the pedals and uh as I showed you, pedal only is not bad at all. Okay guys, now let’s go ahead and test this pedal only, no power. Um uh so we’ll see in just 159 lbs and me my weight on here pedaling this single speed and see how it is. Here we go. All right, not bad. That’s not too bad. Now, this is level here. Oh. Um, it’s actually functional. You’re not going to go very fast, but you get on the sidewalk, pedal it, and it’ll get you home. And it doesn’t feel too It doesn’t feel like too strenuous either, surprisingly, with this uh, you know, being 159 pounds with the both batteries and my weight. So cool, dude. I’m just riding this around like a motorcycle, man. This is absolutely insane. Unlike any ebike I’ve ever had before. The power, the feel of it. Oh, this is amazing. You don’t need a ramp to put it in your vehicle. That’s so sick, man. This is absolutely insane, guys. It feels so good just riding in the wind. I’m telling you, for those of you guys that hate on the electric ebike, okay? Uh especially this one, okay? Even the other ebikes are cool to me. I love them. But I’m telling you, I love this one the best. Hands down. Just when I thought, you know, I I just never could believe that you you could do this at this price. Yeah. You got other ebikes out there, 72 volt ebikes and 80 volt ebikes out there, but they they you know what I’m saying? They won like 5,000 plus dollars for five, six, seven or,000 for those. We’re talking 2500 here with the cycle cruiser discount. This is sick. They’re having a fair here, man. It’s coming here pretty soon here for August. And uh we’re just checking it out here. I’m just burning off power here. Just trying to see what the range. Now, the the the bad thing about this is that it it it reset the trip meter. Man, if I’d known it was going to reset the trip meter, I would have had a second trip meter. So, I can’t tell you what the range is going to be on this. So, unfortunately, you’ll have to I’ll have to tell you in a future video. All right, guys. I ran it through all the tests, applications, and uh my final thoughts and conclusion on this bike. Is this legit or not? Um, first up, I want to say this bike is legit. 100% thumbs up, guys. Uh, hell of a bang for your buck. Uh, for $2,500 with my Cycle Cruiser discount. Um, my conclusion as far as the cons on this bike, I would have to say that this digital key here, which is really nice and cool and everything, but they should have made it high viz. It’s so easy to put it on something black and you’re like, where is it, man? Where is it? And it’s easy to get lost. But you can deactivate the digital key on here. I believe another con is that the the rear fender actually uh broke off when I hit a uh I hit a pothole on the road. Um but honestly looking I would recommend you not even put that on there because you have this fender and you can always cover this hole up or get that aluminum top box that Happy Run sells and uh so any mud would hit up under there and it wouldn’t come through. So, you don’t even really need that anyhow. And that’ll help you save some weight. As far as uh the ride quality on this bike, I would have to say the ride quality is nice, man. Um I’m pleasantly surprised. Uh the suspension, obviously, it’s not a premium suspension. You can adjust it. Um but it’s it’s better than that $5,000 ebike I had. That suspension was horrid. And this is half the price. And this does it feels good riding it off-road. It feels good riding it on the street, uh, on the sidewalk, everything. Um, suspension is adequate. The power on this is perfect in my opinion. Um, it doesn’t have a violent start. Uh, you know, but you don’t want that cuz on this that $5,000 ebike that I had, I cranked the throttle and actually looped the wheelie on that. It’s much more powerful than any other ebike that I had besides the 5,000 one off the line. Um, I think they did it perfect because that way people doesn’t people don’t get hurt if they crank the throttle too hard by accident. Um, but man, when it I’m telling you, the power is strong. Great power on this bike, guys. Even though I can only get the top speed to 47, that is way more than adequate, especially for city speeds out here, man. Um, it rides with traffic perfectly, as you saw in this video. Um, the braking power is good on this. The hydraulic disc brakes off-road. I went down a steep uh steep hill off-road. The brakes were great. I went down a steep decline on the on the uh street. Hit the brakes solid. No problems with the brakes. The seat, um, even though it’s firm, when I first sat on it, I thought it would be, uh, be uncomfortable, but it was actually comfortable. Um, pretty comfortable. I wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable, but it’s it’s not uncomfortable at all, and you want it kind of firm. Um, especially on a bike like this, you’re hitting around corners and stuff. It gets you feel with the bike. Um, it’s it’s really weird. It’s it’s it feels like a motorcycle, but at the same time, it’s so lightweight like a ebike, but the power is so addictive. It’s so great. Like, I wouldn’t want it to go any faster than 50. I know some of you guys mentioned there’s like 80 volt ebikes out there that do like 60 65. To me, that would be absolutely terrifying. This bike does this is the power you want for for 140 159 lb bike, man. Um, by the way, you could take this battery, the bottom battery off and it still runs. And, uh, and it lightens it up to 122. So, if you you don’t need the range and you want to mess around off-road, um, to me, remove that bottom battery. And it also provides when you remove the battery, there’s some storage space underneath there as well. Um, I did ride this at night and the headlight is very bright. The tail light is very bright. Turn signals, like I said, guys, this is a motorcycle with pedals and the pedals at the single speed is very functional. Uh, so if the batter is ever dialed on, you could take this on the sidewalk and pedal it just fine. I’m 170 pounds. This is plus 159. I thought it would be impossible to pedal this with a single speed, but it was it pedal fine. I mean, I’m not going to win any races with it, and I wouldn’t take it up a steep hill. You’d have to walk it up a steep hill, but level ground, you can ride this home. No problem, man. Um, so I have to say, you know, overall, I love this bike, man. I’m absolutely This is the most exciting and mo most fun ebike that was sent to me. That’s It’s most like a motorcycle than anything else electric that I rode. It feels like a little bobber, man. It just It’s awesome, man. Can’t The best bang for your buck for any motorcycle in my opinion, man. Um you can’t find I don’t think you can find an electric vehicle at this price, guys, that that produces the power like this, has all the features like this, uh doesn’t require and it’s small enough. It looks like ebike. You pedal it. Uh the cops won’t bother you. There’s no light. You don’t need a license. Uh you don’t have to pay for insurance. That saves you a good amount of I mean that saves you money right there alone. And then you can charge I’m going to take this back when I get back to my bugout motor van. I’m putting it in there and I’ll put it to charge here. My solar system here charge my uh ebike batteries here in about 7 hours or so. Uh the chargers are 2 amp chargers, so they’re pretty slow chargers. You’re not going to get a super fast charge, but they’re adequate for me. So, I get free energy and then I might get that top box from Happy Run. Go grocery shopping with it, man. It even came with a a bike lock. So, that is that’s a hell of a bang for your buck, man. Uh so, thumbs up to the Happy Run G100 Pro 6000 watt 72vt ebike. So far, guys, I highly recommend it. I’ll do an update video. I may go ahead and get that top box here and try to put some payload on it and do a future video. And uh also, unfortunately, I couldn’t do the range because it reset the trip meter on there. Um and I I didn’t have a backup trip meter, so I don’t know how much I rode, but I’ve been riding all day long. So, I’m pretty confident you can get some nice range on this. In a future video, I’ll give you an update on the actual range I get on this. Really appreciate all you guys.
