New Hero Vida VX2 Looks Promising – First Look | AutoYogi
This is Vida’s new VX2 It doesn’t have much to do with V2 V2 was brought to make it more
sophisticated, more complex For those who are riding regular scooters But EVs had a bigger learning curve Along with this, Hero Vida has tried to solve that. So, what do you get in this? And how is it different from V2 or V1? We will talk about that in this video Hello, viewers, my name is Vikas Yogi You are watching Auto Yogi, And today, we will talk about Vida VX2. Alright, so the first thing first
The Vitamin M, the money, How much does it cost? So, if you take the base variant Which comes with a 2.2 kWh battery pack And if you are opting for battery as a service You have to pay upfront Rs 45,000 And if you opt for battery as a service If you ride a lot, you will have to pay around Rs 1.23. Which is the price of VX2 Go There are two variants, VX2 Go and VX2 Plus If you are opting for VX2 Plus Which comes with a big 3.4 kWh battery pack, If you are opting for that You will have to pay around Rs 59,990 For battery as a service But if you don’t want to pay for battery as a service You want a complete scooter In that case, you can buy the scooter for around Rs 1 lakh And the price, I told you You will not get some things in that price, What are they? You will not get the front space, Then, you’ll get the backrest as an accessory In fact, you’ll get this footrest as an accessory You get footpegs as the standard ones. So, you have to pay additional for these things How much do you have to pay? We don’t have that information yet I mean, Hero hasn’t shared it yet So this is the price And the good thing is Unlike Honda, they haven’t done anything foolish That it’s a removable battery So, we will only give you a swappable option, And you will have to follow this Otherwise, you will need to buy another scooter. This is the least democratic way In fact, it’s not democratic at all. You should have an option to buy whatever you want. Here, you have an option If you buy VX2 Go You get it with a single battery pack Which is removable If you live in a flat or in a place Where there is no charging facility Then, you can take it home and charge it. In VX2 Plus, you get two batteries Both batteries are removable, Again, you can take it to your
home as per your convenience For charging, you are given a 550W charger If you’re going with a big battery pack of 3.4kWh Then, it will take you around
5- 5.5 hours to fully charge it If I am not wrong Probably, it will take you more than that It can take you 7-8 hours to fully charge it Because you are given a small charger So, this is about buying all these things Financing options and all that. But the thing is How different is it from V2? If you talk specifically about V2 Then, it has a few more cuts and creases You can call it a little European style. This looks more conventional Which I think will be liked by more people It will offend less people It’s pretty simple, Very neat, Very clean, Offered with good colours, In fact, the matte white option has been given Then, you have a glossy red, glossy black You get a grey colour Which comes in dual tone, along with orange accents That also looks good. So, all these things are given And it has been kept rather simple And like in the V2, this element
is a separate, existing panel — A separate glossy panel has been installed here. Instead, you get black plastic here, And the top part is glossy, So, the design is differentiated that way. Indicators are given here. You get a LED headlamp, With both high beam and low beam in LED, and DRLs are also provided. So, this unit is exactly the same, But the positioning makes it stick out a little, But here, this panel looks integrated, too. You get 12-inch front tires and 12-inch rear tires, And alloy wheels are given in the V2 Plus. One more thing, which is more
conventional, is the seat. The seat is actually quite wide. If you have seen Vida V2, It has a split-type seat, But here, you have a single seat. The seat height is 777 mm, and
you also get a backrest. In the front, we used to keep things In older scooters, you used to get a box here — That’s not provided here, but you do get a space Where, for example, I’ve kept my gloves. If you want, you can keep water bottles here Two small water bottles will fit, And if you want to keep a
bigger bottle, that will also fit. A boot of around 33 litres is given, You can’t keep a big helmet but a
small half-face helmet will fit here. Two batteries are provided here. This battery can be removed, So, if you want, you can take it home and charge it. I think each one weighs about 10–15 kg, Both batteries are removable — You can charge them at home
with the regular charger. Then there’s a regular key — If your father, mother, sister, or anyone else is riding, It’s just like an old conventional scooter. Put the key in and turn it on, Press this start-stop button here, And you can start riding. A USB charging port is also given here. On the right side of the handle,
you have some buttons — This hazard lamp button is also provided. Very good integration, Which you don’t see in many entry-level scooters — But it should be given. It’s a very useful feature — If you need to park the scooter on the side Or if there’s any issue, you can just use it easily. That’s nice. If you look here, there’s a button for Park and Mode. If I press Park on the top side — Let me start the scooter
(there’s also a start button here) — I press Start, the motor is on, And you’ll clearly see the mode. It shows ECO here. If you want to change modes, You press again — Ride mode, then Sport mode. In Sport mode, of course,
you’ll get better performance — It does 0 to 40 km/h in about 3.1 seconds — But your range will drop. So, it’s better to use Eco or Ride for daily use. Since we’re talking about buttons, There’s also Park mode here, Press it on top, and Park mode activates — What this feature does is This lets you reverse the scooter. There’s a Start button — If you want to start the scooter,
press the brake and press the button once Simple. One touch and it starts. On the left-hand side, there are more buttons: This is the SOS button — If you’ve saved an emergency number, It will call directly in case of an
accident or any emergency. Press SOS, and the call goes instantly. There’s also a toggle switch here — Press it to access different details. Like ODO, Trip A, Trip B — All this info is shown. Then, of course, you have the turn indicator, No explanation needed — And a horn, which is clear and loud. Look up top and there’s the Pass switch, Press it to toggle high beam and low beam. So, all the basic buttons are given. There’s nothing fancy, and unnecessary touch, Which we get to see in many scooters, Where you enter a PIN or access settings inside — All that’s not here. One more thing done conventionally: In the V2, you get a 7-inch TFT
display that’s touch-sensitive, Here, there’s nothing touch, Which I feel is best — It’s conventional, easy, and clear to read. No matter how bright it is outside, You can see everything clearly without any issue. All the basic info is visible — Speed, state of charge, It shows the battery level of
both front and rear battery And they drain almost equally, no problem. ODO reading. After that, whatever you want to check — Trip A, Trip B — you can see it all here. So, it’s basic — This is a 4.3-inch TFT display, by the way. If you opt for the GO version of this scooter, Then, you get an LCD colour display Talking about the performance,
Its top speed is 80 kmph, V2 claims about 90 kmph top speed, Lower variants have lower top speeds It does 0-40 kmph in 3.1 seconds, And the V2X and V2X GO take about 4.1 seconds, 4.1 seconds or 4.2 seconds, Talking about the gradeability of an electric scooter At that time, it supports an 18-degree steep angle, We have already discussed the battery pack, You get 2 batteries, 3.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh, If you’re buying the 3.4 kWh option What range will it offer you? IDC claim range is 142 km. However, companies have claimed that
when riding normally in ECO mode, In a good range band, Then, it’ll offer 100 km, but only in the ECO mode. Then, when you ride it in the RIDE mode, Then, it’ll offer 70-75 km of range And in the SPORTS mode, the
range will even drop to 60 km I’ll mention their exact claim figures. To know about the actual range, In the next video, I’ll cover all the pros and cons And will talk about the range I’ll show you the actual in that video, So, this is the overall story of Vida VX2, What things are offered? What are the available options? Buying option, battery pack option, Motor option, What are the changes compared to V2? Why is it kept conventional? And why is V2 more sporty? Because it’s European style-inspired, It rather looks conventional So, we’ve talked about all these things. In the next video, I’ll tell you What I liked and what I didn’t like — A proper opinion video will come for that. I’ve already mentioned other things in the video. I hope you liked this video, Iif you did, don’t forget to like and share it. If you still have any questions, You can ask in the comments section, We’ll answer as soon as possible. Thank you so much, everyone,
