2025 BYD Sealion 5 DM-i Walkaround and Launch – The best PHEV you should buy?
[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hi everyone my name is Pom Munda and I’m the auto kid today I’m at the launch of the allne 2025 BYD C Lion 5 it is a plug-in hybrid crossover SUV that’s sleek advanced and very techy this is part of BYD’s plan to launch 12 new models earlier they launched the EMAC 7 the Shark 6 and the Seal 5 and we’re here at VIA BYD Global City so let’s head inside and check it out [Music] so as you can see right now the launch of the new Cine 5 is ongoing right now you can see that there’s a band there’s catering and uh while we can’t review the BC Lion 5 let’s take a look at all the cars that we find here [Music] [Music] heat [Music] heat [Music] [Music] [Music] and here it is the 2025 BYD C Lion 5 DMI [Music] the grill of the B by C Lion 5DMI features a modern clean look you also get these sleek LED headlamps they got the BYD badge moving to the side it rides off 18in rims which features black cladding you also get a sloping roof liner and roof rails the rear window of the BYDC Lion 6 curves up and it wraps around the windows the BYDC Lion 5 features 156 mm of ground clearance which is good for a crossover and moving to the back you get four LED tail lights that stretch all the way and now let’s take a look at the boot so the back space of the BYD Sea Lion 5 it has 500 L of space which can fit three to four luggage bags or a week’s worth of groceries when you pull the seats down you get 1,000 plus liters of space which can fit IKEA boxes and all that and you also get a so cover under here you get your jack and tools and stuff and you also get your portable charger now let’s hop up front inside the 2025 BYD Lion 5 leg room and headroom is good for me as a child you get a center armrest with two cup holders surprisingly you notice that when you step inside the BYDC Lion 5 it feels like you’re inside the luxury vehicle in the sense that uh you get these white leather seats with also the brim color you also get orange stitching also found here and what other more details you have you get two air vents a USBA port and a USBC and a storage spot top stick in the middle so there’s no hump at all making it very comfortable you have two pin lights a coat hanger you’ve noticed this brown leather attached here and here black leather now let’s hop up front up front in the BYDC Lion 5 you have a 10 in rotating touchcreen yes rotating this is also common in most BYD vehicles either touchscreen where with a press of a button the BYD screen rotates it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and you can actually press it on the screen just like that anyways so you find more white leather seats also white leather touches and black leather uh you don’t get a panoramic sunroof but it’s okay also got a glove box you don’t in in fact you don’t have a latch so you may think this is a wireless charger it is not it is actually uh a storage space for your phone but it’s kind of sad but you don’t need you don’t need it and you got some more storage space here with a 12vt outlet and USB ports and you also got air vents and you get your speedometer sadly in the BYDC Lion 5 you don’t get automatic adjustable seats you get manual especially for the passenger anyways let’s take a look at the engine so under the hood of the BYDC Lion 5 before I say anything else let me show you i’m going to tell you how easy it was to open and why I didn’t need a lever first of all cuz when you’re inside you have to pull the latch twice that way you don’t need to pull a lever or something anyways so the BYD C Lion 5 has a 1.5 L high efficiency generator that works with the BYD Super DMI together they produce 197 horsepower and 300 Newton m of torque this car can go from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 8.3 seconds so being a plug-in hybrid it it it you can drive up to 71 kilometers in one charge but with a range extender you can go up to 1,01 kilm this car when you charge the BYD Lion 5 with an AC charger it charges from up to 4 to 5 hours you can also buy a wall-mounted charger in your house the BYDC Line 5 right now only has one variant and that costs 1,198,000 Philippine pesos but that’s the introductory cash price so what’s my verdict on the allnew 2025 BYDC Lion 5 DMI should you buy it should you shortlist it should you consider it or should you avoid it my suggestion buy it because it’s a wellpriced tech field and a fuelefficient hybrid crossover that blends style practicality and modern modern hybrid tech in one competing package thank you so much for watching this review a big thanks to BYD Philippines and BYD Global City for inviting me to the launch of the new BYDC Lion 5 DMI and also thank you for uh giving us a look of the BYD EMAC 7 don’t forget to like subscribe and hit that bell icon for more walkounds and reviews i’m Pom Munda the Auto Kid see you in the next video [Music]
