These crazy wings remind me of 🇦🇺Australian Sports Sedans racing, *except these are on 🇯🇵🎌Japanese roads*!
This was just a quick IG search of *Kaido racer*. The last pic shows the wings on Aussie Sports Sedans racecars. They are not quite as winged as the Kaido racers. But *slightly bigger* and more powerful in many cases; some with NASCAR spec V8s. 😄

Ok, I have to admit that the ridiculousness of that Lincoln makes me smile.
Remind me of the cars modified to race pikes Peak
These are [Bosozoku cars.](https://www.topgear.com/car-news/big-reads/top-gears-guide-crazy-world-bosozoku) This side of Japanese car culture has been around for a long time.
If there were more of these about you wouldn’t have to pick up after dogs.
This reminds me of something. Do they battle each other in a giant cage?
Those are definitely some cars
That BMW isn’t even a BMW…
There’s level to this but I find it awesome. I called it all bosozocu until recently and didn’t save the nerdy explanation I read. Why the hell not lol
I like this style, although I prefer the more modest and functional examples.
Might also wanna check out Group 5, as these racecars helped inspiring this style
Do homologation specials from the original manufactur for racing also included in this?
I.e. Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR
you should see the race cars these Kaido racers were based on:

You got any videos off these pics, like some of them look like they would ACTUALLY hit 200 km on the highway without scraping the pavement
Looks so heavy and fragile.
[Here’s a great source to learn more about kaido racers](https://kaidoracer.com)
Only the BMW (maybe), and the three sedans in the last image, are racecars. The rest are Bōsōzoku.
Idk, I feel like most bosozoku cars belong in/r/shittycarmods
I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on toyotas but i have no damn clue what that first one is
