I dunno enough about them to know the exact year or trim of that one, but I don’t think you can get a 959 for less than 1.5 million USD.

It is a 959 SC or Sport Canepa. It is 1 of a planned 50 car production run (not sure how many so far) of the “Reimagined” Porsche 959. It is supposed to be a vision of what the 959 could have been if Porsche continued developing the car. According to [Canepa’s website](https://www.canepa.com/porsche-959-reimagined-sc/) about 4000 hours of work go into each car. Modifications include modern headlights, suspension upgrades, engine upgrades, paint to sample colors outside of the OEM white red silver and black and one of my favorite parts new 18 inch wheels that look almost the same as the original 17 inch ones. No part of the car remains untouched though if I’m reading it right it uses mostly modified versions of the original parts. It all results in a 356 horsepower boost that gives the car a 0-60 of about 2.5 seconds. For context that’s just .3 seconds shy of the 918 a car built using technology that is some 25 years newer than the 959 platform.
This honestly is one of my absolute dream cars. I love the 959 because it’s one of the more subtle of the late 80s supercars. A normal person wouldn’t expect it to be on par with say an F40. On top of that this upgrade package can compete with modern cars and adds another whole layer of mystique that only those who know will understand. If you haven’t posted it there r/spotted has seen this one a few times and I’m sure would love to see it again.
