Saw this Cybertruck ahead of me in a touch automatic car wash, does that really negate the warranty?

I wouldn’t take a regular car to a touch carwash nevermind that doorstop.

This is giving me toaster in the bathtub vibes lol

Like taking steel wool to your fridge

It doesn’t in general, that just comes from people on the internet misinterpreting things to dunk on Musk. If they didn’t close the windows and water got in, or if the brushes in the wash damaged the wipers because they were left on, *that* would not be covered under warranty because it’s user error.

The bigger crime here is taking your M8 through the car wash

I wouldn’t even take my Jeep through an automatic car wash, destroys your paint. They can be hard on trim and antennas also, they would probably mess up my auxiliary lights.

  7. Your gas car is loaded with electric components inside and out. EVs can get wet lol.

Depends on what they’re trying to warranty. If they come out and say the finish on their truck I defective, Tesla can point to the car wash and say that did it and deny their claim. If their battery degrades to 20% within a year, Tesla would have a very difficult time blaming that on the car wash vs a defective battery.

  9. Car wash mode lets the wheels turn without the motors.

No a car wash doesn’t void the warranty.

A friendly car wash, what does that even mean?

No. Especially not if it’s in car wash mode. But also no.

Between the cybertruck and the windscreen HUD this kind of feels like something out of the fifth element
