The older lady down the street said she’d sell me her late-husbands car for $6k since it has some issues. Good deal?

She said it’s missing the Cadillac converters and makes a weird noise when you’re on the gas. It’s a manual so I would have to have it hauled since I can’t drive one like that. The book value is like $10k so I think it’s a good deal and it’s mowing season so I’ll make some extra money on the weekends soon. Plus the weed eater should fit in the back. Is this a good deal or should I try to find something else?
