When charging your BMW with Electrify America there are up to three convenient ways to initiate a charging session and a few ways to stop a charging session as well all you need is a BMW ID connected to your vehicle and an active Electrify America complimentary charging plan see

America and manage my plans you will be directed to the Electrify America site next next select payment and apple wallet under digital wallet tap add to Apple wallet and then continue select allow and add all set your NFC charging card is ready to use need a charge when you arrive at the charging

Here’s how to set up your account and enroll in the complimentary charging program:
Use your My BMW app and a Connected BMW.
Scroll to “charging”.. And under services, select “Electrify America,”
Then, tap “create a charging account.”
Next, select “redeem a new premium offer,” accept the terms, and follow the steps to select the premium charging plan that corresponds to your specific model and model year.
Enter your enrollment code when prompted.
Tap “verify,” and then “confirm” and then add your payment details.
If everything looks okay then Select “confirm”
That’s it! Your account is now set up & you can use your complimentary charging plan.
For eligible models, there is one final step needed to activate your BMW for plug & charge.
In iDrive, select the “charging” app,
Then “Plug and Charge.”
With the available “Electrify America” contract highlighted, tap on “download and use”
All set!
You’re now able to use plug & charge. With this feature, you no longer have to use an app or interact with the charging station. Simply plug in your BMW and walk away.
