tesla has been putting batteries at superchargers for ages
other companies do it too when they can’t get a big enough electrical service.

A lot of DC fast-chargers have batteries.

Serious question: Are the batteries replaced roughly every 3 years?
Let’s say one station has 150kwh of battery storage (20 stations x 150kwh = 3mwh). And it discharges 50kwh every hour for 9 hours per day. That would be 3 cycles per day. That’s roughly 1000 cycles per year.
I think LFP cycles rated about 1500-3000, but that may just be the guarantee of 70% capacity.
Anyway, is it reasonable that replacements would occur every 3 or so years?

> The batteries as are charged up during downtime
What downtime do they expect?
