To use the VW Connect/We Connect services, you require a Volkswagen ID user account and will need to log into VW Connect/We Connect with your username and password. A separate VW Connect/VW Connect Plus or We Connect/We Connect Plus contract must also be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the “Volkswagen” app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store). For VW Connect Plus/We Connect Plus, you have 90 days following vehicle handover in which to register the vehicle at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the “Volkswagen” app and use the services for the full duration of the agreed free period. A smartphone with a suitable iOS or Android operating system and a SIM card with data option with an existing mobile data contract or one to be agreed separately between you and your mobile data provider is required to use the free Volkswagen app.
The Lock and Unlock service is a secure service and requires your identity to be verified via the Volkswagen Ident process. Your identity is verified by a Volkswagen dealership or via the app.
