Key is recognized but will not turn. The past few days I have needed to wiggle the key for it to seat properly in the ignition, only now has is seemed to fail. Looks stripped to me, also quite bent.
I believe I have ruled out a steering wheel/ignition lock, as my wheels can still fully turn. I have tried the usual fix and no amount steering angle or jostling will get the key to turn either.
Just looking for some advice before I fit a new key, only to find it was an issue with the tumbler all along.

Do you have a second key? Have you tried that one?
If the second key works, that rules out the lock cylinder being the problem.
If you still have the service book, the key number should be written in there which you can take to a locksmith with the correct machinery and they will cut you a new key, if that is indeed the issue.
