Visiting this is Vietnam’s most westernized city I don’t I’m not going to pretend to know all the history of Vietnam but Vietnam was in a huge War hoan City The South was sort of more on the US side of it and uh after the war it’s been super developed in a capitalistic
Way whereas Northern Vietnam like kanoi where we started uh is still pretty communist so the city is Embraces that history this feels like New York it’s my first time out here but looking at that Skyline are you kidding me and then okay so look at this this is a Highway only
For bikes let me let me this is so sick cars on this side bikes on this side wow it’s hot even though it’s overcast it is 100° out today now Vietnam is top three in the world for motorcycles this is the third country with the third most bikes in the world
Just after Thailand and Indonesia oh this is my turn I’m going right here so there are a ton of bikes out here it’s a huge part of the way of life the average income in Vietnam is under $10,000 a year so the purchasing power you have as as an American is phenomenal

Flight to Vietnam so you’re in transit for like 24 hours and by the time you get here you’re on a 15-hour our time difference just all bikes all bikes I feel so safe riding out here not worried about any Ford Superduty running me over wow we don’t have this in the states we

One person instead of ordering an Uber you order one of these bikes and you just sit on the back and they give you a helmet to borrow while you’re on there and uh it’s so much more efficient and affordable than taking a taxi so you see
Those all over the place and this bike in front of me is electric it looks like a vesa those are also new he’s also a taxi guy from a different company company you see it’s got different colors and that’s a hub motor on the rear wheel so he’s he’s pushing electric
Right there I wanted to try one of the electric bikes but they don’t have uh they don’t have those for rent this is this is the best one I could find $4 a day although I heard you can get like sort of the normal motorbikes out here like that these gentlemen are on
Apparently you can buy them for like 300 bucks and uh you know 300 bucks is a lot of money like here for sure but um in the states 300 bucks would barely get you uh a pedal bike we’re in the car Lane I’m going to take this bridge it looks cool

Could pop a wheelie I don’t know how the police are out here you don’t see very many at all and when you do see them they’re on the side of the the road they’re like on the corner and they’ll wave people down they have like sticks and then people pull over I’m thinking
