My Ride My Life – Adrien Van Beveren
Daka is a is a big Monster I think Daka is is definitely a race you have to Respect I love thata is a challenge of my life it’s my dream to to win that I’ve been riding motorcycle forever my first bike was a 50 cc and I was quite scared because I think I was like 3 years old and I remember that small bike was uh smoking it was a two stroke it’s one of the few memories I have that Young racing motorcycle became the job for me 10 years ago already I was not pretending to be a professional writer I was not made for that and I start to dream about to make it my joke you know but later as a kitty was a dream but was not
Touchable it’s a proper job and I have goals I want to achieve those goals but I want to achieve them for me this is the main uh fuel of of my of my life I don’t do it for anyone else I do it for Me I enjoy all the training I enjoy my life around that and I enjoy riding Motorcycle until last year I didn’t win I didn’t win a a proper race of world championship since I signed with a cha Honda last year uh we won in Andalucia and this might be the the highest point of my ready career because I could finally make it happen you Know win Andalusia win Abu Dhabi being again on the podium of the world Championship the high point of my R career will be be now in January 24 that’s the key of success to be ready at the right time Dhaka is once a year you have to be ready for this time and that’s the challenge it’s not easy being an athlete a motorcycle rider a Dhaka Rider is a way of life I don’t
Really have a break and a moment where okay now it’s time to prepare Daka no it’s preparing Jacka all Year I cycle I swim I go to the gym I ski I ride motorcycle for sure I ride my traal bike almost every day I travel everywhere in the world to to race and ride different kind of deserts to be able to ride any kind of
Terrain and this is what is about rally it’s a challenge every minute you have to adapt yourself in the r Bike you know Ry red is is the is a kind of special and high risk dangerous let’s say category the average speed is is high and when you crash you potentially going fast that makes the crash maybe worst and you don’t even remember what’s happened or where you are I had the
Crash like that in 2018 while I was leading Dhaka I think at this time a big chance to reach my dream was difficult to accept that all was throwing to the floor but my worst my worst moment was in 2020 cuz I crashed again I don’t
Remember nothing I I felt was was a close call after that it took me time to to get back to the best level but I I was finally able to to win Again rally motorcycle I would say this is life this is the life I want in R Racing there is no space for mistake zero no chance it’s it’s really difficult really tough how concentrate you have to be how focused you have to be the whole time this is a lot of commitment there
Is no space for for anything else in your [Applause] mind you know being in Hur it’s quite a a center point I feel the life here is pure I think for an athlete is something good you know I train in the in the middle of the natur in the mountain with some altitude
I can get my bicycle and be and be climbing in the 2 minutes from home and I can also drive my car some few hours and be on my R bike in in Spain desert I am having a healthy life in Andora we are lucky we are lucky to be in the
Middle of the mountains and and every day I can have a different Training I go skiron in the winter there is a sport life here and I feel it’s it’s good for me Those beautiful landscapes uh for me help you to to disconnect but at the same time to Connect when you briefing this Fresh Hair alone skiing climbing in the mountain you can be focused and be here in the mountain and nothing else but you can also be really focus and like thinking about your race it’s a way to connect your mind and to disconnect it I would say on
The same [Applause] place to sign with Honda with that Chi Honda last year for me was kind of a big challenge like I got really surprised how fast and how quick I was in the team you know it’s nice to feel that we are yeah there is people on your back like
Supporting you you know and in the r team it’s totally like that there is no one person more important than the other one everybody is important we are a team I love taka is a challenge of my life and it’s my dream to to win daa for
Sure it will be definitely the the main success I could achieve if I can make it happen everything around my life now is uh totally directed to to Daka I ride motorcycles and and I hope I’m going to ride motorcycles forever
