Some of you might remember [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/electricvehicles/comments/13vvnq5/charging_solutions_for_townhomes_under_an_hoa/) post I made a few weeks back. Well I have an update…
The board approved my request with the use of a cable ramp, though I will likely go with two, since there is more exposed wire than I’m comfortable with. [Here is what it looks like with only one ramp.](https://imgur.com/a/EYk8Ro9)
I’m still concerned that someone will, at minimum, complain, so I’m scrapping the wall connector idea, and just doing a NEMA 14-50 with the mobile charger. But I’ll go with a heavier gauge wire so that later down the road, if all is good, all I need to do is swap the breaker and swap the outlet to the wall connector.
I’m not sure really what the long term implications with the HOA will be, but they are all older people on the board that just don’t understand this stuff. I did the best I could to educate them, but I feel like they are still not fully understanding. I tried to go down the path of community chargers, or assigned parking and allowing pedestals, but out of over 500 homes, only 60 are townhomes the rest have garages, along with only 5 EVs so far, doing community chargers or assigned parking was just not something they felt was feasible. It might get there at some point, but for now this should suffice.

Thanks everyone for your ideas in the other post, they really helped bring this home.
