What up all! Tried finding some groups on the platform and this one seems to be sweet. A lot of cool stuff going on here.

Well here’s my boring story…bought this one owner 2nd Gen SVT Lightning w/ 76k miles. It had a built motor rocking a Kenne Bell making 600whp. While cleaning the truck up under my ownership, I got it ready to roll….well close. During data logging, I lost voltage to the fuel pump and she was toast. Sucks since I only put 50 miles on it lol.

I wasn’t sure what the heck I was going to do now. I clearly didn’t plan on this happening but I figured I’d take the opportunity to put something different in it. I sat down and did some brainstorming….as there were a few options. The final decision was a brand spankin’ new 2JZ setup. My initial thought was to toss it together, make some jam and move on. After researching the issues some had with slapping the brand new OEM 2JZ bottom end together, we decided to send it.

I’ve been through the process of building something from ground up with my R32 GTR and told myself I wouldn’t do it again…but here we are. I might as well utilize a super clean, no rust and low mileage chassis to make something cool.

Engine is off at the machine shop getting built. We’re shooting for 1,2xx – 1,3xxwhp. I’m sure people will ask why….because I want to. I’m looking forward to sharing the progress as the truck will be getting suspension work (coilover conversion, 4 link rear) and other work while the engine is out. I believe I have my mind set on a built 6R80 to pair with this 2JZ (unless anyone else has any other suggestions). I am looking to stay Auto before any T56 suggestions come into play. I’ll be posting updates on IG as well (@theogzilla).
