This is Dacia Nova, the first car designed entirely by Dacia engineers in 1985, the inspiration model being Peugeot 309. Due to lack of funds, the project was stopped in 1989 and resumed in 1991. It was produced between 1995 and 2000, and later replaced by the SuperNova.

From the very beginning it stood out for its outdated design, since the earliest references for the Nova date back to at least 1985. I received a facelift in 1997 which had significant improvements over the first model. Despite efforts, Dacia Nova was not a successful model, and it had many problems, such as poor build quality. Renault bought Dacia in 1998 and the model had to be improved, becoming the SuperNova.
