From 24 to 26 September, THE PACK organised THE PACK Plaza at EV Experience for the third consecutive year. The event at Circuit Zandvoort is the largest electric mobility event in the Netherlands, and the main stage belongs to the car manufacturers. Electric two-wheelers remain a niche within that setting, but the brands present on THE PACK Plaza logged a steady stream of test rides, and visitor interest in light electric mobility was clear throughout the three days.
HMW FoxE makes its Benelux debut
This year’s Plaza included a Benelux first. Multi-brand dealer Electric Motorbikes introduced the FoxE from Austrian manufacturer HMW Mobility.

HMW, short for Halleiner Motorenwerke, was once a well-known name in Austrian two-wheeler engineering. The brand has been revived under the Acceleration Hub Company with a new direction it calls ‘Next Generation Mobility’, combining its heritage with current electric technology. Two models mark the relaunch: the FoxE, an electric off-road bike (on display at THE PACK Plaza), and the ConnE, an electric scooter.

Electric Motorbikes operates two stores in the Netherlands and one in Belgium, the latter in cooperation with Future Mobility in Antwerp. That makes it one of the few multi-brand electric two-wheeler dealers in the Benelux.
Gert-Jan Rongen | Electric Motorbikes
Alongside HMW, Gert-Jan Rongen presented the scooter line-up of Nerva Mobility: the Nerva EXE II, Nerva Lift and Nerva Spark, all fitted with BYD batteries. Nerva was founded in Spain, where it is an established name, and is now expanding across Europe with the Benelux as its next target market. The EXE II leads that effort. It is an electric maxi-scooter aimed at commuters, positioned against the Japanese and Italian petrol scooters that dominate the segment, and potentially as an alternative to the car for daily trips.

Also on display was the NAXEON I AM Pro, an urban electric motorcycle with a distinctly futuristic design. Beyond its looks, the bike is built around connected technology and features aimed at city riding.
First-time riders surprised
For many visitors, THE PACK Plaza was their first experience on an electric two-wheeler, and most of them returned from their test ride with a big smile. The reactions showed how far the reality differed from their expectations. “Wow! I didn’t know you can ride so smoothly,” said one visitor. Several were surprised by the handling: “It turns very easily,” and “I didn’t expect that, this light steering. I thought it was heavier.” The absence of engine noise also stood out: “No sound, that’s new for me, but I would rapidly get used to it.” And some discovered practical features they hadn’t expected on a motorcycle: “You even have a reverse gear! So easy to park now!” Those first-hand impressions are exactly why test rides remain the core of THE PACK Plaza.
Zero Motorcycles: DC fast charging coming in 2027
Zero Motorcycles is one of the pioneers of the electric motorcycle industry and has built up a broad line-up over the years, ranging from premium Street and Dual Sport models to the lighter X-Line off-road range and the new LS1 urban scooter.

Zero recently announced a CCS charging port and fast-charging module that will become available on new Street and Dual Sport models later in 2027. The module is also being designed as a retrofit accessory for all Street and Dual Sport models from model year 2022 onward. It answers a request the Zero community has been making for years.

“DC fast charging is a major advantage in making the switch to electric mobility more attractive, and it will bring more riders to Zero Motorcycles,” says Pierre-Martin Bos, CEO of Zero Motorcycles. “It’s also a feature some of our customers regularly asked about, and we listened. We didn’t want to offer this technological development only on future Zero models, but also let the thousands of existing Zero owners benefit from it, further increasing the value of their motorcycle.”
