PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured an e-bike rider in downtown Portland last month, the Portland Police Bureau announced Thursday.
Police said Sylus Gene Noe, of St. Helens, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for second-degree assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.
The charges stem from a shooting that happened on Monday, Aug. 10, in the area of Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest Market Street. Police say a man on an electric bicycle was shot by a driver who fled the scene. Witnesses told FOX 12 that the gunfire followed a road dispute.
The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said detectives were able to identify Noe as the suspect through evidence collected and video surveillance.

According to police, a firearm was recovered during a search of Noe’s home on Wednesday.
