FRANKLIN, Mass. (WJAR) — The Franklin Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a Tesla that allegedly passed a stopped school bus while a student was crossing the road.
The incident happened Tuesday morning near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Griffin Road, according to police.
Video shared with authorities by Holmes Bus Lines and the Franklin Public School District appears to show the Tesla driving past the bus as the student crossed the street.
Police released an image of the vehicle in hopes that someone will recognize it or identify the driver.
Anyone who was involved, witnessed the incident or has information about the driver is asked to email ccrosman@franklinma.gov.
Authorities reminded motorists to stop for school buses and remain alert as students travel to and from school.
