The all-new Volvo EX60 is here, promising up to 503 miles of range, ultra-fast charging, clever safety technology and one of the most impressive interiors in the premium EV class. But can it actually knock the BMW iX3 off the top spot?
Nicola Hume and James Batchelor put the two head-to-head to find out which is the better premium electric SUV.
The BMW fights back with huge range, 400kW charging, impressive efficiency and a genuinely engaging driving experience. The Volvo counters with a beautifully finished cabin, exceptional comfort, clever practicality and a wonderfully relaxed character.
So which one should you buy?
In this twin test we compare their range, charging speeds, performance, practicality, interiors, technology, comfort, driving experience and value for money – and reveal which one comes out on top.
The BMW iX3 tested here has a 493-mile WLTP range, 469hp and charging of up to 400kW. The Volvo EX60 P10 AWD has 410 miles of WLTP range, 510hp and can charge at up to 370kW.
