Tesla finally commenced the mass production of its Semi truck in Nevada this year, following its initial introduction all the way back in 2017. And now that the factory has started churning them out, the company seems to have big plans for the Semi.
Notably, it’s going to launch it in Europe. The official details will be announced at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany, which is taking place between September 15 and September 20.

Over in the US, Tesla says the Semi is cheaper to run than a diesel truck, and it can “pay for itself” in a typical truck ownership period. Whether the economics will turn out to be the same in Europe remains to be seen. Also a mystery: when the Semi will actually be on the streets of Europe. We’ll keep you posted.
