Jett Lawrence Takes Over 450 Championship Lead at Unadilla | Honda HRC Progressive
Round 9 of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship brought Honda HRC Progressive to Unadilla in Upstate New York, where Hunter and Jett Lawrence split the 450 moto victories and Chance Hymas earned his third consecutive overall podium. Jett’s 2-1 performance secured the overall victory and moved him into the championship lead, while Hunter took the opening moto win. In the 250 class, Hymas put together consistent 4-2 finishes to earn third overall.
Hunter moved into the lead early in the opening 450 moto aboard his CRF450RWE and established himself out front. Jett worked his way through the field and into third before setting his sights on Jorge Prado in second. Maintaining his pace through the closing stages, Jett made the pass on the final lap to secure second place behind Hunter, giving Honda HRC Progressive the top two positions in moto 1.
Hunter grabbed the moto 2 holeshot, with Jett and Prado close behind. Jett applied pressure at the front before making his move for the lead and went on to take the moto victory. His 2-1 scores earned him the overall win and moved him into the 450 championship lead with two rounds remaining.
Hymas started the opening 250 moto in second and battled near the front throughout the race before ultimately finishing fourth. The Idaho native came back strong in moto 2, holding second place from start to finish aboard his CRF250RWE. His 4-2 scorecard earned him third overall at Unadilla, marking his third consecutive podium as he continues a strong run through the closing rounds of the season.
