Ferrari unveils the one-off Ferrari CZ26, an SF90 Stradale-based supercar featuring bespoke bodywork, aggressive aerodynamics and a 786-hp plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari CZ26, a dramatic one-off supercar commissioned by a US client and developed through the marque’s exclusive Ferrari Special Projects program. Based on the SF90 Stradale, the CZ26 retains Ferrari’s high-performance plug-in hybrid hardware while receiving an entirely bespoke exterior and interior designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under Flavio Manzoni. Unveiled in Monterey, the unique model replaces the SF90’s familiar silhouette with a striking two-box design focused heavily on visual identity and aerodynamic performance.
A radical redesign based on the SF90 Stradale
Although the Ferrari CZ26 shares its underlying platform with the SF90 Stradale, almost every visible element has been reimagined. Ferrari has created a low and horizontal profile centred around a distinctive cabin-like “capsule” volume, framed by pronounced wheel arches.At the front, the bespoke Ferrari features a wide grille incorporating ultra-slim concealed lighting, brake-cooling openings and various sensors.
Extensive aerodynamics shape the CZ26
Beyond its dramatic appearance, the Ferrari CZ26 receives extensive aerodynamic revisions. These modifications increase drag on the aircraft without raising drag too high, while also providing downforce. The outcome is a more functional looking two-box supercar, rather than an SF90 Stradale. The cabin has also been extensively customised. Black technical fabric is combined with 3D-printed seat inserts, Rosso Lampante detailing and an embroidered CZ26 logo. Gloss carbon fibre with metallic filaments, satin carbon and body-coloured dashboard and door elements further distinguish the interior from Ferrari’s production models.
SF90 power meets one-off exclusivity
Underneath its unique bodywork, the Ferrari Special Projects creation retains the SF90 Stradale’s plug-in hybrid powertrain. Its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 produces 797 cv, equivalent to roughly 786 horsepower, while electric motors contribute a combined 162 kW from a 7.9-kWh battery. Ferrari quotes a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds and a 0–200 km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds. Top speed stands at 328 km/h, or approximately 204 mph. The car can also travel around 25 km on electric power alone.
With 20-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes and a 45:55 front-to-rear weight distribution, the CZ26 combines the mechanical credentials of the SF90 with an exceptionally individual design. The Ferrari CZ26 ultimately demonstrates the purpose of Ferrari’s Special Projects division: creating highly personalised automobiles that go beyond conventional production models. Rather than pursuing outright performance records, this one-off focuses on exclusivity, sculptural design and the freedom to create a Ferrari unlike any other.
