MARION, Iowa (KCRG) – The city of Marion now has its first two public charging stations open for electric vehicles.
The first is in the Marion Public Library’s parking lot. The second is in the Uptown Marion District in the parking lot on the southwest corner of 8th Avenue and 12th Street.
The charging stations can charge two vehicles at the same time.
The stations were first proposed in the city’s 2023 parking study. The BTC Power chargers were provided by Alliant Energy and are powered by ChargeLab.
