BROWN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) — A Cincinnati man riding an electric bicycle was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Brown County, and Ohio State Highway Patrol investigators are searching for the driver.
The crash happened at about 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, on State Route 32 near Eastwood Road in Sterling Township, according to the patrol.
Investigators said James D. Daugherty, 46, of Cincinnati, was riding a Jansno electric bicycle west in the right lane of S.R. 32 when a vehicle traveling in the same direction struck him from behind and fled.
Daugherty was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews and the Brown County Coroner’s Office.
Troopers believe the vehicle involved may be a white 2020-2025 Nissan Versa.
