MODESTO, Calif. — An electric bicycle rider was killed Saturday night after colliding with an SUV near Tully Road and Roseburg Avenue, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Preliminary information indicates the e-bike rider was traveling east on Roseburg Avenue and entered the intersection against a red light before colliding with an SUV traveling north on Tully Road. The victim, a 32-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said witness statements and evidence collected at the scene support the preliminary findings.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police said the crash is the seventh fatal traffic collision investigated in the city in 2026.
