First, please don't get mad at me for my neglect to this beauty. I drove her in my 20s, but after about 8 years she kept breaking down. I had the engine replaced, but still had problems. Finally I had to switch to something more reliable. I stored her in my mom's garage, about two hours away from where I live. When I put her there, I literally had to roll her into the garage since she wasn't running.
Flash forward 10 years. She hasn't moved. I haven't done anything to maintain her. The body is rusty (but not that much!). The engine…..looks surprisingly okay but I know nothing about engines. The upholstery is tattered. All four tires are flat. There's mouse poop inside. But….she's still beautiful to me.
Now I'm thinking of selling her to a family friend so she get's more love than I can give. I want to give them a good deal, but I also don't want to get screwed myself. I know that there are a LOT of factors that would go into a price, but what would you put a benchmark at? Any other tips?
