Keepers of the Heartbeat | Tootsie Tomanetz x Chevrolet
Chevrolet’s iconic “Heartbeat of America” campaign has returned, and with it, a simple idea: America’s heartbeat is its people. Reintroduced in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary, the campaign revives one of Chevrolet’s most recognizable themes, this time with a modern sound from country rock band The Red Clay Strays.
In this series, Chevy is highlighting Keepers of The Heartbeat – local leaders who epitomize a dedication to community and craft. Leaders like Tootsie Tomanetz, the 91-year-old pitmaster at Snow’s BBQ in Lexington, TX and “Queen of BBQ.”
For Tootsie, being a Keeper of The Heartbeat is about putting in the work and connecting with people from all over the world. It’s why she’s still cooking to this day, even after more than 50 years of hard work.
Watch Tootsie’s story and see how her BBQ, just like the Chevy Silverado, reflects the Heartbeat of America.
