Riding a mix of city traffic and open roads, mostly in Glide mode with occasional bursts in the sportier modes, I averaged around 265 km per full charge. That’s still a solid number for daily use, and it comfortably covered my long commutes without making me feel tense about the battery percentage.
If your rides are mostly short trips, the smaller 7.1 kWh battery variant might be a good choice. However, I would recommend the bigger one for anyone who wants a longer range.

One of the main reasons I chose the Ultraviolette X47 was its Hypersense radar system. The brand says it’s a segment-first feature for two-wheelers, and after riding the bike for over 1,200 km, I can say it delivers what it mentions.
The rear-facing 77 GHz radar powers features like blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alert, and rear collision warning. The alerts appear through lights built into the mirrors, making them easy to notice without taking my eyes off the road.
In my daily rides through busy city traffic and on highways, I found the radar system genuinely useful. It gave me an extra level of confidence while changing lanes and helped me stay more aware of vehicles approaching from behind. That said, I never relied on it completely. Like any rider, I still check my mirrors and blind spots before making a move.

This is where I hit my first real frustration. My bike came with the standard 1.6 kW portable charger, and charging the 10.3 kWh battery from 20% to 80% took a genuine 5 hours. It was fine for overnight charging, but not suitable if I needed a quick top-up before heading out. Because of this, I paid an extra Rs. 44,000 for the optional Boost Charger, which cut that time down to around 2 hours. It’s a solid improvement, but I wish Ultraviolette had made it standard instead of charging extra for it.
Are Software Glitches of the Ultraviolette X47 Crossover Real?
This is where the Ultraviolette electric bike could have been better. I experienced a few software glitches, and I’m not alone, as other owners have also reported similar issues. The customer support was satisfactory enough when I reached out for a minor issue. Another good thing that Ultraviolette offers is a long warranty. You get 5 years or 1 lakh km as standard, while my variant comes with a warranty of 8 years or 8 lakh km. This helps if you face any major issues over a long period.
