Vector W8 replaced a conventional welded steel structure with a bonded aluminum honeycomb chassis and carbon-kevlar body panels. Designed to evoke a fighter jet, it paired a twin-turbocharged V-8 derived from a drag racing engine with a military-grade CRT instrument display. Chronic overheating, reliability issues, and brutally demanding handling limited production to just 17 customer cars.
