Throughout the Range Rover’s 56-year history, Land Rover has introduced numerous special editions, but the Westminster Edition has become something of a tradition.

First offered on the second-gen model in 2001, the name has appeared on every subsequent generation as a nod to one of London’s iconic districts.

JLR offers the Range Rover Westminster Edition in Charente Grey, Constellation Blue, Ostuni White, and Santorini Black colors.

In April, JLR introduced the Westminster Edition of the fifth-gen model for MY2027 in the UK, and at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, we got a first-hand look at the changes in the special edition.

The 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition we saw was equipped with 22-inch Style 1073 gloss black wheels, which is a no-cost option.

The 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition at Goodwood was powered by a mild-hybrid powertrain, but JLR does offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain option for customers who desire deeper electrification.

The 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition features 22-inch Style 9014 diamond-cut forged wheels with Gloss Dark Grey contrast and Narvik Black Gloss inserts. The signature side graphic on the front doors carries a minimalist “Westminster” inscription.

Despite the model’s steep six-digit price, gesture-controlled power tailgate is an optional feature.

Interior

Inside, JLR equips the 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition with illuminated metal door sills with “Westminster Edition” script. The cabin is adorned with Natural Black Birch Veneer featuring a distinctive, ten-line inlay.

Specifications

JLR offers two plug-in hybrid powertrain options for the Range Rover: P460e and P550e, both based on a 3.0-liter turbocharged gas engine. However, for the Westminster Edition, it only offers the P460e.

The ten-line inlay in the wood trim serves as a reference to 10 Downing Street, the residence and office of the UK’s prime minister.

The P460e powertrain delivers 338 kW (453 hp) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque. It allows the 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition to reach 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 140 mph.

We noticed that the door sills carry “Westminster Edition” branding.

A 31.8 kWh battery pack powers the electric motor and delivers an electric range of 71 miles, as per WLTP. It supports DC fast charging at up to 50 kW, with a 10-80% session estimated to take less than an hour. Fully charging it via a 7 kW AC charger takes five hours.

The 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition is only available in the standard-wheelbase version, which is strictly a five-seater.

Price & Availability

The 2027 Range Rover Westminster Edition plug-in hybrid costs GBP 125,120 (USD 169,339) in the UK. JLR has not confirmed plans for a U.S. launch, but we consider it unlikely, as the Westminster name in America is more closely associated with cities in Colorado and California than Central London.

The Range Rover Electric, which had its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, is heading to the U.S., though.
