Honda WN7 First Proper Ride – The Electric Bike That Changed Our Minds!
The Honda WN7 is here – Honda’s first all-electric production motorcycle, and a very important moment for the motorcycle industry. Adam Child takes the Honda WN7 for a proper real-world test in Austria, riding it on Alpine passes, city roads and alongside conventional petrol motorcycles to find out how it really performs.
After an initial launch ride, this test gives us a much clearer picture of what the Honda WN7 is like in everyday riding conditions. How does the electric Honda handle mountain roads? What is the real-world range? Is the instant torque enough to keep up with petrol bikes? And does the regenerative braking system actually make sense on twisty roads?
With 50 kW / 67 hp peak power, 100 Nm of torque, a belt drive and a weight of 217.5 kg, the Honda WN7 is not just a concept or a city scooter alternative. It is a serious electric motorcycle with proper road presence. Adam also talks about the riding modes, regen paddles, fast charging, comfort, handling, price and whether the WN7 could realistically work for commuting or weekend rides.
The biggest surprise? Several 1000PS riders tried the bike, many of them sceptical at first – and almost all came back impressed.
