Canada’s Wildest School Competition – EV Challenge 2026
Students from across Western Canada spent months designing and building electric go karts before competing in the Edison Motors High School EV Challenge 2026. The event combines engineering, manufacturing, welding, fabrication, electrical systems, problem solving, and competitive racing into one incredible experience.
From overcoming brake failures and suspension issues to refining steering geometry and drivetrain performance, every team had to solve real-world engineering problems. Then came the ultimate test: high-speed racing, motocross terrain, off-road punishment, and a custom log skidding challenge designed to expose every weakness.
