2026 Mercedes-Benz S Class goes Hybrid || Launched at Rs 2.2 crore || Bookings open

Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2026 S-Class facelift in India at Rs. 2.20 crore (ex-showroom), introducing the all-new S 450e, the first plug-in hybrid S-Class. Combining luxury, technology, and efficiency, it aims to set a new benchmark in the premium sedan segment.

The S 450e produces 435 hp and 680 Nm of torque, paired with a 22 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed pure-electric range of up to 115 km. Mercedes-Benz also claims a certified fuel efficiency of 32.3 kmpl.

The facelift brings several notable upgrades, including the new MBUX Superscreen, a dedicated co-passenger display, and advanced micro-LED headlamps capable of illuminating the road up to 600 metres ahead. Safety has also been enhanced with 15 airbags, an India-first feature in the segment. Powering the digital experience is the brand’s latest MB.OS operating system.
