This EV Hatchback Outsold Every Car! Proton e.MAS 5 First Drive | Next Best Seller in Nepal?
This is the Proton eMAS 5 EV, which is currently the best-selling EV in Malaysia.
eMas 5 is also known as Geely EX 2 or Geome Xingyuan, which is outselling every segment electric car in China and Malaysia.
I test drove this car on the test track and was totally impressed with its Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) 85 kW motor that produces 150 nm of torque. The handling is so good, even being a hatchback, the stability and control, even on high speed and corners, is pretty solid.
It packs lots of segment-first features like 70L frunk, Multilink Rear Independent Suspension, Electric Tailgate, bigger screens, rear AC vents, 32 storage options, and more…
It also has a good LFP battery from CATL, which is 40.16 kWh, and has a WLTP range of 325 km.
It has two variants, Prime and Premium, and I have also tried to point out some differences in the video.
