This documentary takes you behind the scenes of Calvin, a new-generation robot born from the partnership between Renault Group and the French scale-up Wandercraft. A technological feat but above all a human story: that of two teams who learned to co-develop a robot designed to relieve the work of operators in plants.
From Wandercraft’s Paris laboratories to Douai plant, discover how Calvin walks, lifts 40 to 50 kg and senses its environment thanks to physical AI.
The goal: deploy in Renault Group plants around ten robots in place by the end of 2026, and 350 across French and Spanish plants by the end of 2027.
