2026 Tata Tiago.ev: Best Affordable Electric Car in India?
The 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift is here, and Tata has made its most affordable electric car cheaper, safer and better equipped. But there is one catch: the claimed range of the 24kWh version has gone down.
In this video, Utkarsh takes a detailed look at the new Tata Tiago EV 2026 facelift, including its updated design, new features, price, range, battery options, charging time, safety upgrades and whether it still makes sense as India’s best budget electric car.
The 2026 Tiago EV continues with two battery options: a 19.2kWh MR version and a 24kWh LR version. It uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, with the MR version making around 61 BHP and 110 Nm, while the LR version makes around 75 BHP and 114 Nm.
Key highlights include faster DC charging, 6 airbags as standard, 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, rear AC vents, updated cabin, new styling, lower prices and a first-owner lifetime battery warranty for the 24kWh version.
But is the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift really a better deal than the old Tiago EV? Or has Tata improved the ownership experience without solving the range problem?
