Honda Civic
Consumer Reports says the Civic is an excellent small car and the hybrid is the best version with quick responsive steering, a comfortable ride, roomy interior and excellent fuel economy.

Toyota Camry
Consumer Reports says the Camry has a successful recipe that Toyota has honed even closer to perfection this year. It’s now sold exclusively as a hybrid that’s fuel efficient, comfortable, practical, it has user-friendly controls with physical knobs and switches and AWD options.

Subaru Crosstrek
The Crosstrek returns to Consumers Reports top pick list again this year. There is a gas and hybrid option, it’s comfortable, it has great ground clearance and it does a good job with the bumps in the road for this class of vehicle.

Subaru Forester
Last year the gas only model claimed a spot in Consumer Reports top pick list because of its good all-round performance, it’s easy to get in and out of, it’s comfortable, visibility is good and reliability scores are excellent. Now with the hybrid option available, it made the list again.

Toyota Grand Highlander
Consumer Reports says, it’s not easy finding a three row SUV that’s roomy enough to accommodate an adult in every seat and still have some cargo space. Three powertrain options, gas, hybrid and a hybrid max which is a nice blend of performance and fuel efficiency. The hybrid model delivers great fuel economy for such a large SUV.

Lexus NX
The NX is a repeat top pick for Consumer Reports offering elegance, fuel efficiency and reliability. It’s offered with three powertrains, gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid, it’s equipped with soft surfaces, plenty of buttons and comfortable seats. The hybrid model is smooth and refined delivering great fuel economy for those who are not interested in plugging in.

BMW X5
Consumer Reports says the BMW X5 is one of the best luxury SUVs it has ever tested.
CR says, it’s a premium well rounded vehicle that feels special even before you put it into gear. The gas only X5 is both powerful and efficient with acceleration that rivals a sports sedan. The X5 plug-in hybrid is ideal for drivers whose daily trips are within the EV range of 39 miles/63 km.

Ford Maverick
Consumer Reports feels the Maverick is a great choice if you want a weekday commuter and weekend plaything. With two powertrain options including a hybrid that is fuel efficient with both FWD and AWD options. CR says the Maverick remains a standout vehicle and its appeal continues to increase over time.

Ford F-150
The F-150 remains America’s best selling truck and it earned a spot on the list because it is more reliable this year. It also stands out because of its strong powertrain options, available BlueCruise, aids that simplify backing up, hooking up a trailer and a flat tailgate designed to double as a workbench. CR says the 2.7L turbo V6 is a gem, a V8 is still offered and a 3.5L turbo V6 hybrid that shows off its strength rather than fuel efficiency.

Tesla Model Y
The new Model Y made the list for improved reliability, a more compliant ride, a quieter cabin, upgraded interior, long driving range, comfortable seats, great visibility and access to the Supercharger network.
