A new Dutch electric motorcycle startup is ready to take on the enduro world. Radian, based in Twente, the Netherlands, has unveiled the EXR, an electric enduro bike it claims is the first truly competition-ready machine of its kind, and one that directly tackles the two biggest obstacles to electric off-road racing: limited range and long charging times.

The answer to both, Radian says, lies in its patent-pending InfiniPack battery system. Rather than waiting for a charge, riders can swap a depleted battery for a fully charged one in under 30 seconds, no tools required. The battery pack has a distinctive curved shape (the origin of the Radian name) designed for ergonomic removal and insertion, while also allowing the drivetrain’s rotating mass to sit at the centre of gravity, keeping the bike feeling nimble. Spent packs go straight into the InfiniDock charging station, which is compact enough to be moved around a race paddock with ease.

The standard Endurance pack holds 8.6 kWh, which Radian says is a new benchmark for the electric enduro and motocross segment. Depending on terrain and pace, that translates to 60–115 km of range at race speed, or between one and seven hours of riding. A lighter 5.8 kWh Sprint pack will follow later for riders who want to shed a few kilograms. The Endurance-equipped EXR comes in at 125 kg; the Sprint version drops that to 113 kg.

Under the bodywork sits a 336V motor producing 70 hp and a remarkable 1,060 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, available from a standstill. The unit uses a carbon-sleeved rotor and innovative inverter technology, spinning up to 14,000 RPM, with no gearbox needed. Power delivery is fully configurable through a smartphone app, letting riders dial in anything from a smooth, featherable throttle suited to gnarly hard enduro terrain to an aggressive roll-on character for blasting across sand.

The frame is all aluminium, and Radian has turned that material choice into a performance feature. The chassis is designed as a patent-pending thermal interface, using the metal’s conductivity to improve cooling performance. It’s paired with KYB suspension and Brembo brakes, and the limited Founders Edition adds Haan wheels with Excel A60 rims.

One of the more practical touches is the EXR’s Smart Storage system, built into the subframe as interchangeable modules. Riders can carry tools, spare parts, an onboard charger or other gear directly in the bike – meaning, for the first time, no backpack is required. Radian is also publishing 3D files so owners can design and print their own custom inserts.

The bike’s design takes a purpose-built, no-nonsense approach: clean lines, ribbed panels, exposed hardware and a full LED headlight with an animated light signature that doubles as a charging status indicator. The dashboard keeps things minimal, with an integrated enduro timekeeping system built in.

Radian’s origins give the project some credibility. The company was founded in 2021 by members of Electric Superbike Twente, the team that won the 2018 MotoE championship in their debut season. That pedigree feeds directly into the engineering philosophy behind the EXR. The company also works with the University of Twente and the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing.

The EXR will ship with full road homologation, and Radian intends to extend the platform into motocross and supermoto variants down the line. Running costs are claimed to be 70% lower than a comparable combustion bike, with 70% less maintenance required.

Reservations are open now via rideradian.com. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q4 2027, initially in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, with a wider European rollout to follow. Pricing starts at €14,450.
