Tonnerrey sent me the new T8 Dual Motor, and this might be one of the craziest budget e-bike values I’ve tested. If you’re looking for a 60V dual-motor fat tire e-bike under $1,000, this one should definitely be on your radar.
This is a 60V dual-motor sleeper e-bike with dual 1500W motors, 3000W peak power, a 60V 30Ah battery, 20×4 fat tires, front suspension, disc brakes, Shimano 7-speed, lights, rear turn signals, mirrors, fenders, and a long moped-style seat.
What makes the Tonnerrey T8 so interesting is the price. With code MAX150, it drops from $1,099 to around $949 shipped before checkout changes. For a 60V dual-motor fat tire electric bike, that is seriously hard to beat.
In this Tonnerrey T8 review, I cover the unboxing, setup, full specs, top speed, unlocked speed, off-road riding, 6’2″ rider fit, real-world range, pros and cons, and whether this budget 60V dual-motor e-bike is actually worth buying.
🚲 Stock top speed is listed at 28 mph, but unlocked I saw around 32–35 mph.
🔋 Range can be solid depending on how you ride, but with the way I tested it, it definitely took a hit. I got 23.9 miles riding mostly in mode 5 and unlocking it after about 16 miles. Unlocking the T8 makes it faster and way more fun, but it also drains the battery faster.
The reason this bike stood out to me is simple: I had already been shopping for a dual-motor sleeper e-bike, and most of what I found was 48V. The Tonnerrey T8 is 60V, dual motor, fat tire, low-key, and still capable enough to cruise, hit dirt, and have fun off road.
It is not a SurRon replacement, but it is a seriously interesting budget alternative if you want something more low-key than a full electric dirt bike.
My biggest con so far is the cadence sensor. It feels a little touchy, and I may try unplugging it for a throttle-only experience in a future video.
Tonnerrey sent this unit out for review, but these are my honest thoughts. Always check your local laws before unlocking or riding on public roads.
