Canadian Tesla owners just received an upgrade to their navigation and charging experience. The Supercharger Site Maps feature has officially arrived in Canada, giving drivers a high-fidelity, real-time 3D layout of their Supercharger stations.
Live 3D Overview
Instead of drivers navigating to a basic pin on a map and pulling into an unfamiliar lot blind, your Tesla now renders an interactive 3D view of the specific physical location.
Drivers can view the exact position of each stall, the most efficient entrance and exit paths, and the real-time availability status of each charger. The map also highlights specialty spots, such as trailer-friendly bays and handicap-accessible chargers.
It even renders accurate 3D vehicle models of the specific Teslas currently occupying the stalls.

Slow Expansion
Tesla has been gradually expanding its 3D site maps to include additional Supercharger locations throughout the US and Europe. The 3D models are already included in the software, and the rest is done through Tesla’s API, so additional locations can be added without a vehicle update.
Tesla stated that it’s utilizing its team at Giga New York to map and deploy over 300 new Supercharger locations globally every single week. At the current rate, Tesla will likely have all its locations mapped by the end of 2026.
Tesla App
3D site maps are currently only available in the vehicle. However, we expect the Tesla app to eventually add similar functionality as well. While a pin on a map is helpful, charging in an unfamiliar parking lot often means you’re looking around for the Supercharger, and this feature certainly makes that process easier.
The timing of this Canadian expansion makes sense ahead of the high-traffic summer travel season. As NACS becomes the universal industry standard plug-in in North America and the number of non-Tesla EVs continues to grow, charging sites are becoming increasingly busy.
