The Toyota Fine-X (also known as the Fine-T) is a hydrogen fuel-cell concept car first unveiled at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. It is best known for its “crab-walking” ability and a 360-degree rotation feature, allowing it to turn on its own axis.

It uses a compact hydrogen fuel-cell system that drives four independent electric motors located within each wheel hub.

Each wheel can steer independently up to 90 degrees, enabling the vehicle to move sideways (crab walk), perform U-turns in extremely tight spaces, and rotate on the spot.

Features massive doors that open upward for easy cabin access.

The seats automatically slide and rotate outward to assist passengers when the doors open.

Despite having the exterior footprint of a small hatchback, its flat floor design provides an interior space comparable to a Toyota Camry.

It was equipped with peripheral monitors to provide the driver with a full view around the vehicle, a precursor to modern 360-degree camera systems.
