BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. (WBNG) — The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Endwell is asking for the public’s assistance with an investigation into a stolen e-bike from the Town of Maine.
According to state police, the e-bike was reported stolen from a residence located at 2605 Main St. sometime between the evening hours of Thursday, May 7, and the evening hours of Friday, May 8.
The e-bike has since been recovered during the investigation in the area of Miller Road in Newark Valley.
Investigators request the public to contact the state police if:
They witnessed suspicious activityThey observed a suspicious male walking or riding a black e-bike in the area of Main Street and Lewis Street during the overnight hours.Residents or businesses captured suspicious activity in the area with security camera footage.
State police received information from community members about reports of an individual allegedly checking vehicles overnight in the Town of Maine area.
Investigators are encouraging anyone with direct information, surveillance footage, or who personally witnessed suspicious activity to come forward.
