I have a 69 Mercury Montego convertible and it doesn’t have seatbelts. I did some research and it looks like it originally had lap belts for all the seats – I don’t mind installing them in the rear seat but I would like to install 3 point retractable belts for the bucket seats. Given that it’s a convertible and doesn’t have a B-pillar I’m wondering if that’s going to be a pain.
The car is a mutt so I’m not looking for authenticity – with today’s seatbelt laws I prefer safety over aesthetics.
