Six years ago, Motorsport Vlaanderen, with the support of Sport Vlaanderen, launched MX for Kids, the first structured and affordable motocross training program for young riders in Belgium. The program focused on quality coaching by professional trainers, appropriate and well-maintained equipment, and a deliberate delay of competition to keep the emphasis on enjoyment and technique. It quickly proved successful, attracting more than 200 participants annually, with around 10% going on to compete.

MC Lille: the right track at the right time

To secure the project’s future, Motorsport Vlaanderen entered into discussions with MC Lille, a venue where only electric motorcycles and e-bikes are permitted. This partnership gave rise to EMX for All, a renewed and expanded concept centered on accessibility, innovation, and sustainability, made possible with support from Sport Vlaanderen.

Two core offerings

EMX for All is built around two distinct programs.

The first is supervised motocross training, open to all ages. Participants can learn or improve their motocross skills under professional guidance, with a complete package that includes experienced trainers, protective gear, electric motorcycles, and full access to the track. Crucially, the program is open to riders of all ages, reaching a broader audience than ever before.

The second is unsupervised rental. Alongside the training program, EMX for All also offers electric motorcycle rental, along with clothing and equipment hire, and open riding sessions without instruction. This removes a significant barrier to entry: anyone curious about the sport can try it without immediately investing in their own bike and gear.

Built for the future of motorsport

Electric riding is growing rapidly in popularity, but remains out of reach for many due to the cost of ownership and limited access to suitable venues. EMX for All offers a practical solution, while also anticipating the evolving regulatory and environmental landscape in which electric motorcycles are becoming increasingly important.

Ambitions beyond Belgium

Motorsport Vlaanderen, Sport Vlaanderen, and MC Lille aim to build EMX for All into a sustainable and replicable model that promotes electrification in motocross. The hope is that this concept will inspire similar initiatives across Flanders, Belgium, and Europe.

About MC Lille

Founded in 1967, MC Lille has grown from a club within the amateur federations into a full member of Motorsport Vlaanderen, while keeping the name that has become well known both in Belgium and beyond. The circuit is a classic sand track featuring numerous jumps, kept in excellent condition and leveled before every training session (except Thursdays), with irrigation used during dry spells.

In 2001, the club opened the Breugelhut, a clubhouse offering a panoramic view of the entire circuit, complete with toilets and showers. In 2020, solar panels were installed on the roof in partnership with SolarPro, reflecting the club’s commitment to green energy and environmental stewardship.
