How rare is this 1973 442 or is it a Cutlass and 442 wannabe?

I had a '73 Cutlass S that looked identical to this '73, body and vented hoods. Maybe it was an unbadged 442 instead labled as a S? In an Internet discussion someone said that would of been impossible, the S only came in four doors. Maybe Oldsmobile didn't do everying 100% to plan back then. This one sold in a month, out of state and I'd prefer brown again.
