Today I figured I’d sketch a car that still makes my heart miss a beat when I see one. The Jaguar XJ series one is the car responsible for my lifelong love affair with Jaguar and the subsequent two dozen models that I’ve had the pleasure of owning. Launched when I was three months old in September 1968, when the Beatles were at number one on the charts with Hey Jude. 58 years later, it’s still arguably the most attractive and complete executive saloon ever made. #drawing #classiccaroftheday #sketchbook #automotivesketch
