The Cupra Raval is one of the most important new small electric cars revealed for Europe and Australia, targeting the affordable EV segment with hot hatch attitude. In this video, we take a full walkaround of the 2026 Cupra Raval, covering design, interior, specs, pricing and performance details.
Built on Volkswagen Group’s new MEB Entry platform, the Cupra Raval introduces a front-wheel-drive layout designed to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Entry models are expected to use a 37kWh battery with around 300km WLTP range, while higher-spec versions offer up to 166kW and as much as 450km of range. The flagship Raval VZ adds performance upgrades including an electronic limited-slip differential, adaptive dampers and progressive steering.
With a European starting price of around €26,000 (approx $40K AUD), the Raval is positioned as a more premium alternative to rivals like the MG4 and BYD Dolphin, while still aiming to deliver accessible electric performance.
Cupra has confirmed the Raval for Australia, with timing expected around 2027–2028.
