SOUTHINGTON, CT. (WFSB) – Southington police sent out a warning over juveniles and e-bikes.
Police say that there has been an escalation over the last few years of juveniles operating e-bikes dangerously and not complying with officers.
“Ignoring safety laws or refusing to stop for police puts everyone, especially the riders themselves at severe risk,” said the department in a post on their Facebook page. “Parents, we strongly urge you to speak with your children about responsible e-bike use and the necessity of cooperating with law enforcement.”
